BASEBALL

Hortonville 20, Appleton West 1

APPLETON - The Polar Bears led 7-0 after two innings and then broke open the game with a 10-run fourth inning in the victory over the Terrors.

Jack Tennie had two hits and drove in four runs for Hortonville. Gary Wuest added two hits and three RBI. Turner Kuhnke, Brock Wolter and Isaac Behnke added two RBI each.

Braylon Brantner pitched all five innings for the win. He allowed four hits, one run (unearned), walked three and struck out eight.

Kimberly 22, Appleton East 5

APPLETON - The Papermakers had 17 hits in the Fox Valley Association victory over the Patriots.

Sawyer Deering was 3-for-3, including a double and a triple, drove in six runs and scored three runs. Benny Kieffer was also 3-for-3, scored three runs and drove in four runs.

Ben Johnston added two hits and two RBI, Shaefer Peterson and Connor Olson each had two hits, and Maddux Hermus and Braedon Ellefson each had two RBI for Kimberly.

Neenah 12, Oshkosh North 1

OSHKOSH - Cal Juckem allowed one run over five innings while striking out six to lead the Rockets to the win over the Spartans.

Mack Krause, Andrew Carlson and Juckem had doubles for Neenah, which finished with seven hits. Juckem also drove in two runs.

Freedom 7, Waupaca 6

FREEDOM - Senior Drew Kortz earned his first career win, allowing just one unearned and four hits in three innings of work.

Freedom scored five runs in the second and two in the fifth, while Waupaca managed one run in the first, four in the third and one in the sixth.

Kortz, Corey Mathison, Carlton Romitti and Quinn Brennenstuhl all registered two hits for the Irish with Mathison and Brennenstuhl adding two RBI each.

Max Dolski was 2-for-4 and Ethan Harms was 2-for-4 with two RBI to lead the Comets.

West De Pere 3, Xavier 1

DE PERE - Logan Wierzba allowed just one run on four hits in 6⅓ innings as the Phantoms held off the Hawks.

Brayden Leurquin had West De Pere’s lone RBI as the Phantoms scored three times in the fourth to take charge.

Xavier scored its only run in the seventh.

Evan Wittmann led the Hawks, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Wrightstown 7, Luxemburg-Casco 1

LUXEMBURG - Aiden Humphreys had three hits, including a double, and Jack Leitzke was 2-for-2 with three RBI as the Tigers earned the North Eastern Conference win.

Wrightstown scored once in the first and second innings, two in the third and three in the fifth.

The Spartans scored their lone run in the fourth.

Humphreys also pitched six innings to get the win. He allowed two hits, one run (unearned), walked three and struck out 13.

St. Mary Catholic 8, Reedsville 4

FOX CROSSING - Ethan Plutz and Tarver Trinkner had two hits each and Jacob Ernsting drove in three runs as the Zephyrs downed the Panthers in Big East Conference action.

With the score tied 2-2, St. Mary Catholic scored three times in the third. When Reedsville clawed to within 5-4 in the top of the sixth, the Zephyrs answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning.

Jack Schwahn and Caleb Schwann had two hits each to power Reedsville.

Chilton 13, Sheboygan Falls 0

CHILTON - The Tigers scored five runs in the second inning and four in the third inning in the five-inning win over the Falcons.

Peyton Juckem pitched five innings for Chilton. He struck out nine and walked one.

Mike Vanden Heuvel had two hits for Chilton. Hudson Ludwig had a triple and drove in three runs, while Ethan Schneider and Kale Wagner each had two RBI. Wagner and Slaytt Nolan both hit doubles.

Hortonville 16, New London 10 (Monday)

HORTONVILLE - The Polar Bears scored two runs in the fourth inning and six runs in the fifth inning to break away from an 8-8 tie in the nonconference win.

Rashaud Kastner was 4-for-4, scored four runs and drove in two runs for Hortonville. Turner Kuhnke had three hits and Gary Wuest had two hits and three RBI.

Cale Adamovich had three hits and two RBI for New London. Logan Ten Haken had two hits and three RBI.

Noah Jentz was the winning pitcher for the Polar Bears. He pitched four innings, allowed four hits, two runs (one earned) and struck out two.

Chilton 11, Plymouth 10 (Monday)

PLYMOUTH - The Tigers scored six runs in the first inning, led 8-0 in the second inning and then held on for the victory.

Drayk Nolan and Ethan Schneider both drove in two runs for Chilton. Mike Vanden Heuvel had two hits, including a double.

Hudson Ludwig was the winning pitcher. He pitched 2⅓ innings, allowed five hits, four runs (three earned) and struck out two.

SOFTBALL

Kimberly 19, Appleton East 0

APPLETON - The Papermakers scored nine runs in the first inning and seven in the second in rolling to the four-inning win over the Patriots.

Sophie Hermus had three hits and drove in three runs. Paige Wyngaard and Kylie Van Handel also drove in three runs apiece. Isabella Ellestad and Brecken Ludtke both drove in two runs.

Paige Schreck got the win for Kimberly.

Aubrey Heinz took the loss for Appleton East.

Hortonville 12, Appleton West 2

APPLETON - Abbie Sippola was 4-for-4, including a double and a triple, with three RBI and Lainie Schroeder was 2-for-2 with three RBI to power the Polar Bears past the Terrors.

Olivia Peters was 2-for-3 with two RBI for Hortonville.

Lily Hanke and Madison Buchinger had two hits each for West.

Hortonville scored three in the second, two in the third, one in the fourth, one in the fifth and five in the sixth.

Peters was the winning pitcher. She pitched four innings, gave up four hits, one run and struck out seven.

The Terrors scored their runs with one in the second and one in the sixth.

Kaukauna 5, Fond du Lac 0

KAUKAUNA - The Ghosts used eight hits to score five runs in their win over the Cardinals.

Kaukauna, which is ranked second in the state, improves to 6-0 overall with the win.

Susan Vokes took the loss for Fond du Lac.

Fox Valley Lutheran 19, Little Chute 2

LITTLE CHUTE - Nora Probst drove in five runs on two hits to lead the Foxes past the Mustangs.

Probst hit a home run to center field in the third inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the fourth inning, scoring two.

FVL scored three in the first, seven in the second, three in the third and six in the fourth to cruise to the North Eastern Conference win.

Paige Leavitt earned the win, allowing one hit and two runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out one and walking two.

Bella Pfrang took the loss for Little Chute, going three innings and allowing 13 runs, including seven earned, on eight hits, striking out one and walking four.

Fox Valley Lutheran managed 10 hits. Claire Pfrang collected two hits for the Foxes.

Bella Pfrang led Little Chute with one RBI.

Reedsville 7, St. Mary Catholic 3

FOX CROSSING - Reedsville erupted for six runs in the seventh inning to pull out the Big East Conference win.

Josie Busse had the big hit in the inning with a three-run double for Reedsville.

Jayden Posvic was 3-for-4 with two RBI for Reedsville.

SMC (1-6 overall, 1-1 Big East) was led at the plate by Gabby Guerrero, who was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Denmark 12, Clintonville 2

CLINTONVILLE - The Vikings scored seven times in the third inning en route to the North Eastern Conference win.

Macey Mleziva, Hazel Fields and Maggie Frank each collected two hits on the day.

Frank earned the win, allowing five hits and two runs (none earned) over five innings, striking out eight and walking two.

Winneconne 16, Berlin 1

WINNECONNE - The Wolves scored 16 runs on just seven hits in the win over Berlin.

Grace Mitchell had a double and drove in five runs. Audra Schaffer drove in three runs and Libby Jahnke drove in two runs.

Julia Youngbauer pitched three innings and got the win for Winneconne.

Mishicot 15, Hilbert 0

HILBERT - Kiran Sanford pitched four no-hit innings with 10 strikeouts as Mishicot blanked the Wolves in a four-inning Big East Conference matchup.

Mishicot scored nine times in the third and six times in the fourth.

Kaelin Adair had four hits, including a home run and a double, and three RBI to power the visitors.

Fox Valley Lutheran 15, Clintonville 0 (Monday)

APPLETON - Madison Babcock hit two home runs and drove in five runs to lead the Foxes past the Truckers in a North Eastern Conference game.

One of Babcock’s home runs was a grand slam in the third inning.

Natalie Bromm, Babcock, Nora Probst and Andi Bierman each collected two hits for FVL.

Babcock was the winning pitcher. She allowed two hits over four innings, striking out eight and walking one.

Kelsey Maus and Claire Papendorf each collected one hit for Clintonville.

Iola-Scandinavia 18, Weyauwega-Fremont 1 (Monday)

WEYAUWEGA - Rayanne Clendenning pitched four innings, allowed three hits and struck out six to lead the Thunderbirds to a four-inning victory over the Warhawks.

Clendenning also had two hits and drove in two runs. Maddie Karolus and Maya Munoz each had a double and two RBI.

TRACK AND FIELD

Kaukauna Girls Quad

KAUKAUNA 91.5, APPLETON NORTH 86, FOND DU LAC 39.5, OSHKOSH NORTH 22

KAUKAUNA - Appleton North’s Ashley Parrish was a triple winner, finishing first in the 100- and 200-meter dashes with times of :12.84 and :26.93, respectively, as well as in the long jump with a distance of 16-3.5.

Appleton North’s Isabel Parrish won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of :50.74 and finished second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of :15.37.

Kaukauna’s Jenna Kinas won the triple jump with a jump of 33-5.75 and took second in the 100-meter dash with a time of :13.01.

Kaukauna’s Amber Gerrits won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of :14.86 and took second in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of :51.85.

Hortonville Triangular

GIRLS

HORTONVILLE 94, APPLETON EAST 36.5, APPLETON WEST 32.5

Hortonville’s Eve Vosters won the long and triple jumps with jumps of 17-2 and 35-2.5, respectively.

Appleton East’s Elizabeth Jacobs won the shot put with a toss of 29-8.75 and the discus with a throw of 84-1.75.

BOYS

HORTONVILLE 75, APPLETON EAST 64, APPLETON WEST 26

Hortonville’s Abram Daniels was a double winner, taking first in the high jump at a height of 5-10 and the long jump with a jump of 20-9.5.

Ellie Davel took first for St. Mary Catholic in the 100-meter dash with a time of :13.18, while teammate Moorea Steckling won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of :17.58.

Davel took second in the 300 hurdles with a time of :53.13.

The Zephyrs’ Nolie Anderson won the discus with a throw of 125-5. Anderson finished second in the shot put with a toss of 32-7.75.

St. Mary Catholic also won the 1,600 relay with a time of 4:25.26.

Brillion’s Logan Schmidt took first in the shot put and discus with a put of 49-2 and a throw of 120-9, respectively.

Other Brillion winners included Bob Huntley in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:15.28, Wyatt Keltesch in the high jump at a height of 5-7, Brennen Kleist in the long jump with a jump of 19-5.5 and Heath Cousin in the triple jump with a jump of 38-4.75.

Chilton’s Jason Colunga won the 100-meter dash with a time of :12.13 and Lincoln Kuehn in the 3,200 with a time of 10:46.88.

GIRLS

CHILTON 124, BRILLION 74, NEW HOLSTEIN 28, RONCALLI 13

Chilton dominated the meet with 10 first-place finishes.

Adeline Bodinger won the 100- and 200-meter dashes with times of :13.41 and :28.06. respectively. Morgan Mueller won the 400 with a time of 1:09.04.

Erietta Davis was a double winner for Chilton, taking first in the shot put with a put of 32-11.5 and the discus with a throw of 107-0.

Evaleigh Popp and Emily Heller won the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs with times of 6:34.03 and 13:07.43, respectively.

Maddie Mertz swept the hurdles for Chilton, winning the 100- and 300-meter hurdles with times of :18.91 and :53.31, respectively.

Taylor Byrge won the high jump at a height of 4-10 for Chilton.

Brillion’s Addie Wenzel won the long jump with a jump of 15-1 and Emma Krahn won the triple jump with a 29-5.5. Ava Denor won the 800 with a time of 2:50.05.

Winneconne’s Cody McLeod won the 100- and 200-meter dashes with times of :10.79 and :22.25, respectively.

The hurdles events were both won by Winneconne’s Koltyn Kachur, taking first in the 100 hurdles with a time of :15.97 and the 300 hurdles with a time of :42.77. Hudson Samolinski picked up wins in the shot put with a put of 55-3.5 and the discus with a throw of 180-4.

Abigail Rogers won the discus for Winneconne with a throw of 91-6.

Chamille Birdyshaw of Weyauwega-Fremont took first in the 100- and 200-meter dashes with times of :13.42 and :28.52, respectively. Birdyshaw also won the long jump with a jump of 17-5. Teammate Calla Benjamin won the 800- and 1,600-meter runs with times of 2:46.32 and 6:03.30, respectively.

Macy Fee of Weyauwega-Fremont won the shot put with a put of 31-3 and the discus with a throw of 105-9.

Jacoby Dobberstein won the triple jump with a jump of 40-5.5 and took second in 110- and 300-meter hurdles with times of :16.81 and :44.31, respectively.

Little Chute’s Cooper Effa won the 110 and 300 hurdles with times of :16.40 and :42.51, respectively. James Thiel grabbed first-place finishes in the shot put with a put of 42-11 and the discus with a throw of 138-5.

Fox Valley Lutheran’s Claire Fischer won the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes with times of :28.77 and 1:04.50, respectively.

Bonduel’s Mariah Wondra won both distance events, taking the 1,600 with a time of 5:44.01 and the 3,200 in 12:03.04.

Little Chute’s Zuzanna Mosienska won the 100 and 300 hurdles in times of :16.09 and :52.84, respectively.

New London’s Andric Bayerl won both the 100- and 200-meter dashes with times of 11:30 and :22.90.

New London’s Jackson Pecher won the shot put with a toss of 51-0.25. His teammate Preston Krueger won the discus with a 141-7.

Green Bay East’s Kayden Fenlon swept the hurdles, winning the 110 hurdles wth a time of :15.30 and the 300 with a time of :45.50.

Green Bay East’s Demarion Brown with the long jump with a 19-5.25.

Green Bay West’s Vincent Moyano won the triple jump with a 37-6.

Green Bay West’s Mikiah Rogina swept the hurdles events, winning the 100 hurdles with a time of :17.20. She won the 300 hurdles with a time of :52.20. Rogina also won the high jump at a height of 4-10.

Rogina’s teammate Jakalaya Jackson won the 100 with a time of :13.10.

Menasha’s Allison Abel won the shot put with a 31-7.25. Teammate Evelyn Borucki won the 800 run with a time of 2:45.40.

New London’s Eden Besaw won the triple jump with a jump of 31-7.5. Shaye Allen won the 1,600 in 6:16.20.

Green Bay East’s Else Wenz won the 3,200 in 14:32.80. Her teammate Faith Weatherspoon won the 200 in :25.60.

Seymour Quadrangular

BOYS

West De Pere’s Davian Garcia took first in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of :46.85 and in the high jump at a height of 5-4.

Seymour’s Alex Marsh took first in both weight events. He won the shot put with a put of 43-3.5 and the discus with a throw of 144-1.

GIRLS

Xavier’s Lauren Erickson won the 100-meter dash with a time of :12.86 and the 200 in :26.28. She also captured first in the 400 in 1:01.18.

Shawano’s Adalyn Barkley won the triple jump with a jump of 34-4 and the 800 in 2:41.81.

GIRLS SOCCER

Appleton North 4, Oshkosh North 0

OSHKOSH - The Lightning scored two goals in each half in the Fox Valley Association win over the Spartans.

Brinley Dunsirn scored two goals for the Lightning. Emily Apostolou and Alivia Greer also scored.

The Lightning got assists from Addison Schneider, Nevaeh Higgins and Brooke Schuh.

Ava Koleske and Dylan Kenny shared time in goal for the Lightning. Koleske made one save.

Kimberly 2, Appleton West 0

APPLETON - Emily Urban had a goal and an assist for the Papermakers in the win over the Terrors.

Brenna Wilson also scored for Kimberly, while Marie Van Zeeland added an assist.

Oshkosh West 2, Kaukauna 0

OSHKOSH - The Wildcats scored two goal in the second half in the Fox Valley Association win over the Ghosts.

Ava Pamer scored off a pass from Ellianna Noe at the 48-minute mark to make it 1-0. Noe added a goal 10 minutes later with an assist from Kyleigh Koteski.

Fond du Lac 3, Appleton East 0

APPLETON - Hateya Zehren scored two goals for the Cardinals in the victory over the Patriots.

Avery O’Loughlin also scored for Fond du Lac.

Fond du Lac goalie Autumn Rodriguez made one save.

Appleton United 17, Oneida 6 (Monday)

APPLETON - Colin Gill scored five goals and Jaylen Kempfer had four goals for Appleton in the victory.

Tristan Dean, Elliot Olm and Brody Olp both added two goals for Appleton, while Jayden Golding and Roen Willis each had one.
